Care for your new " fibre cushions "

Fibre cushions need to be teased ( see below ) this can be very time consuming but needs to be carried out on a regular basis.

Each time the cushion is sat on, the cushion will compress and over time the compression will matt the fibre inside together. A few years later the fibre ends up being one hard flat lump and totally lifeless.

After this has happened a very vigoure tease can revive the cushion for a while, but the lump inside is too tangled and matted to last long.

If it does become necessary to clean your cushions or pillows, professional dry cleaning is recommended or light dabbing with a sponge.

How to insert your new cushions.
Fibre cushions are harder than feather to insert.

This is easier with two people, one holding the cover, the other the cushion. Bend the cushion in half ( fig 1 ) push as far up the cover as possible, now let the cushion go and start manipulating the cushion to all corners. When the cushion is looking correct in the cover, its just a case of straightening out to finish off.

Watch Zip Is Not Streched
Important Note : Do not let the new cushion stretch the fabric at the ends of the zip runner ( fig 2 ). The sewing to stop the zip running off the slider can easily break and the zip will run off, or even break the zip slider, in most cases they are only plastic.
